More than 90% of people in westernized cultures don't eat the recommended daily servings of fruit and vegetables. And even if we try our best to eat more vegetables, the ones we purchase in the produce department don't have the vitamins and minerals that they had 40 or 50 years ago. In Department of Agriculture studies of 50,000 persons performed in the 1980's, not one person was getting the RDA of the 10 essential vitamins. And in many cases the RDA is insufficient for optimum health More then 60% of people today take a multivitamin and mineral supplement. However most people are unaware that a majority of the vitamins and mineral supplements are synthetic and made of isolated pharmaceutical ingredients including various petroleum products and hydrogenated sugars. What’s the problem with that? You Need Food Not Drugs or Synthetic Foods
A small amount of a vitamin that is left intact in its whole food form is tremendously more functional, powerful, and effective nutritionally than a large amount of a chemically-pure, vitamin fraction. The first thing you need to understand is that all things are natural (meaning they come from this earth). But all natural things are not good for you! Would you eat a leather cowboy boot? It is natural and made of a natural substance! All vitamins and minerals are chemicals, however there are good chemicals and bad chemicals. Food vitamins are in the physiochemical forms which the body recognizes. Synthetic vitamins are in forms that are not recognized by the body and treated as foreign substances. As an example vitamin C is naturally occurring in acerola cherries. Where ascorbic acid is not vitamin C, it represents the outer ring that serves as a protective shell for the entire vitamin C complex. Ascorbic acid itself does not provide any of the health benefits that the full vitamin C complex does. What we are discussing is the difference between food form (whole food nutrients) vs synthetic (a substance that is chemically altered by man). It is best to get your vitamins from whole foods because whole foods provide complete vitamins rather than synthetically derived fractions of them. Vitamins that you consume through the foods that you eat offer their full health benefits when they are in the presence of a number of enzymes, co-enzymes, co-factors, antioxidants and minerals. Just like refined foods, these synthetically refined vitamins have been robbed of all of the extra accessory nutrients that they naturally come with as well. The synthetic product is always a simple, isolated chemical substance. While whole food form vitamins and minerals are highly complex structures that combine a variety of enzymes, coenzymes, antioxidants, trace elements, activators and many other unknown or undiscovered factors all working together synergistically, to enable your body to use this vitamin complex to do its job in your body. Your Body Needs Foods Not Synthetic Man Made SubstancesHave you ever wondered why that after you take a multivitamin that your urine turns a bright fluorescent yellow color? Studies show the body treats these isolated and synthetic nutrients like foreign substances i.e. synthetic chemicals. Then it is not absorbed by your body and is flushed out of your system. Nature does not produce any nutrient in an isolated form. The nutrients in foods are blended together in a specific way and work best in that format. So when you consume a food form vitamin your body recognizes this as the food it is and fully utilizes the vitamins, enzymes, co-factors the way Mother Nature intended.
The vitamin that we recommend is an antioxidant food form vitamin and mineral supplement that provides 100% of your daily requirement of:
